Photo on Painting
| Posted by Jamie in | Little Something |

On October 15th 2006, Beng contacted me, he’s a Singaporian artist, he said he want to paint one of my photo, and I gave him my permission.. Today when I login to my flickr after quite a long time not loging in because there’s no new photography activity ***kinda hybernating.. hahaaa***, I received an email from him telling that he nearly finish his painting.. I go straight to his flickr album and found this beautiful painting.. hehehe.. If you’re around Singapore you can swing around his high-rise studio.
His mail when he asked my permission to paint my photo
Hi,
I greatly admire your photographs called “Rice fields” and “Nari Ngga Nari Yang Penting Gaya”. May I use them as reference for my paintings in future? When completed, I will be glad to provide the source of the image.
Thank you.
Beng
And on May 29th, 2007 he mailed me:
Dear Jamie
I am very much obliged to you for letting me paint from your marvelous photo of legong dancers. The painting is nearly done, and I have uploaded a few pictures. I hope you like them. Please have a look.

When the painting is finished, I will email to you a high-resolution image. Of course if you are in Singapore, your will be most welcomed to visit my little high-rise studio.
Dengan hormat-nya,
